NEW DELHI: Hours after the Delhi LG Vinai Kumar Saxena recommended CBI inquiry into Delhi Liquor Policy 2021-22, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said the BJP is after them as the party is scared of AAP’s expansion in the country. Kejriwal also said that the case is fake.
“I told you three months ago, and reiterated several times, a new system has emerged that you identify a person and then make a fake case against him. This case is fake. I know him for the past 22 years and he is a hardcore honest man and a true patriot,” said Kejriwal said.
“He did a lot for the betterment of the school. He has given hope to the children that government schools can also be good. He left the house at 6 am daily to see schools. I want to ask, will a corrupt will get up so early to build the career of children,” the CM said.
Taking a potshot at the central government, Kejriwal said that the Central government sent our MLAs to jail but all later turned out to be clean.
“First, they arrested Satyender Jain and now going to arrest Manish Sisodia. They are after us because of three reasons, first, AAP is honest, second AAP is expanding in the country after Punjab victory and third, the world is recognising the development work in Delhi and that they don’t want to happen,” the Delhi CM alleged.
As per sources, the allegations are majorly made against Delhi deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia who was also the in-charge of the excise department. It further stated that Sisodia took and got executed major decisions and actions in violation of the statutory provisions and the notified excise policy that had huge financial implications.
Meanwhile, AAP leader Saurabh Bharadwaj said: “Our chief Minister had already said that after Satyendra Jain another minister of AAP government will be trapped by the central government. This time Deputy CM Manish Sisodia. Agency is working at the behest of the central government. All officers have been asked to work against us.”
AAP MP Sanjay Singh said the BJP government is after us. “Their only motive is to register a fake FIR against. They cannot scare us,” he said.
