NEW DELHI: AAP supremo and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday tried to steal thunder over Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) by poaching flag hoisting euphoria, saying his party will distribute 25 lakh flags across the National capital.
Delhi CM Kejriwal appealed to every citizen of the country to sing the national anthem while holding the national flag in their hands on August 14 at 5 pm to mark the 75th Independence Day.
While briefing the media, Delhi CM requested all the people to hold the Tricolour in their hands on August 14 at 5 pm and sing the national anthem together.
Kejriwal himself will hold the Tricolour in his hand and sing the national anthem.
“While singing the national anthem, we have to promise that we will make India the best country in the world,” said Kejriwal.
He added, “We have to promise that we have to impart education to each and every child of our country. We have to give the best treatment to the citizens. We have to provide roads, electricity and water to every household. Then only can we make our country number one in the world.”
Events are lined up for Independence Day eve.
