NEW DELHI: India will be using the G20 summit in Delhi to showcase its digital might including digital public infrastructure including country’s first United Payments interface (UPI) ATM — that can withdraw cash anytime by just using QR code — apart from buying or selling streetside groceries with digital payment apps.

He said that India’s potential of DPI to provide solutions that empower citizens and nations across the world must be shared with the giant leaders.

“Take, for instance, Jan Dhan Aadhar. There are approximately 4 billion individuals globally without ID cards, and billions lack access to bank accounts. DPI has the potential to provide solutions that benefit citizens worldwide.” illustrated Shringla

Shringla made these comments while speaking to The New Indian.

The New Indian is the only digital media outfit to have secured access inside the Bharat Mandapam to report exclusively on the G20 summit. The New Indian had earlier made a mark when it had entered the White House earlier this year in July to report on Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to the US.

Shringla said also noted that all G20 members have acknowledged India’s achievements in DPI, recognizing that these innovations serve not only India’s vast population of 1.4 billion but also offer a global paradigm.

With a glint of pride in his voice, he said, “Tomorrow morning, we are ready to welcome the most important leaders of the world to our Bharat Mandapam. The G20 Summit in New Delhi promises to be a momentous occasion, where leaders from across the globe will gather to address pressing global issues.

“We are almost there at the event,” Shringla says with an unmistakable sense of excitement and anticipation.

“’It’s a moment of reflection on the strides India has taken in digital innovation, the 60 year old coordinator said.

He emphasized its role as a beacon of India’s developmental success. Shringla believes that DPI exemplifies India’s ability to extend development to the grassroots level using technology—a model that can be replicated internationally through the G20 platform.
