A video of Roy abusing the guards went viral on social media. In the video, she is also seen trying to physically assault one of the guards. The video was purportedly shot on August 20.
In the video, which lasts over two minutes, Roy is also heard making objectionable remarks about the people belonging to a particular state. The video also showed two guards trying to pacify her while she targeted another guard.
On Sunday, after the video went viral, Noida police took cognizance and immediately reached the society – JP Wishtown – in Sector 128 and met the guard. The main victim, Anoop Kumar, told the Noida police that the woman misbehaved with him for the delay in opening the gate.
Kumar told police that the woman, a resident of the society, first abused him while sitting in the car. And when he objected to it, she got out of the car and started abusing and assaulting him.
A team of police officers reached her flat and took her to the local police station after a few hours of questioning. Interestingly, she was seen driving with a female cop in her car to the police station. Later, around 3 pm, the Noida police announced her arrest and produced her before the court, from where she was sent for 14 days of judicial custody.
Police said a case under Section 153A (promoting enmity between different groups), 323 (punishment for voluntarily causing hurt), 504 (intentionally insult), 505(2) (promoting enmity) and 506 (punishment for criminal intimidation) of the IPC was registered against her at Noida Sector 126 police station.
