The buoyant Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Tuesday, February 28, termed the resignations of key Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leaders, Manish Sisodia and Satyendar Jain, from the Delhi cabinet as a “victory of truth and party workers”.
Reacting to the resignations of Sisodiya and Jain, Delhi BJP working president Virendra Sachdeva said, “The BJP’s struggle has borne fruits. We had been demanding the resignations of Manish Sisodia and Satyendar Jain. “Their resignations represent a victory for BJP workers, a victory for truth,” Sachdeva said in a video message.
Sachdeva also targeted Delhi Chief minister Arvind Kejriwal and said that he is the next. “Our struggle demanding your resignation will continue. This fight is not over yet,” the Delhi BJP working president said.
“Satyameva Jayate. Truth wins,” BJP MP Manoj Tiwari said. “Everything will be clear in the 5-day remand,” he added in a video message.
“The AAP’s slumber has been broken following a strong reprimand by the Supreme Court… Finally, Manish Sisodia and Satyendar Jain had to resign …” he tweeted.
Former AAP member and now BJP leader, Kapil Mishra termed it a victory for the people of Delhi. “It’s a big victory for the people of Delhi. Both corrupt ministers had to move out of the cabinet… And, the demand that we were pushing forth that both ministers be ousted from the Cabinet… Two corrupt men, Sisodia and Jain, have been removed from the Cabinet,” he said.
“Manish Sisodia and Satyendar Jain are not the only two AAP leaders who have been caught as corrupt in (Delhi CM Arvind) Kejriwal’s AAP. The first minister was Jitendar Singh Tomar, who was caught with a fake degree and then suspended. Kejriwal tried to defend him as well in the beginning. The people of Delhi remember this. The same goes for Sandeep Singh and Asim Ahmed Khan. Rajendar Pal Gautam was taken out of the party for abusing Hindu gods,” Mishra pointed out.
