NEW DELHI: Congress leader Sandeep Dikshit, son of former Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit, filed his nomination on Thursday, January 16, declaring a net worth of โน11.12 crore.
His opponent, Arvind Kejriwal, Aam Aadmi Party chief, also filed his nomination a day earlier, on January 15, declaring a family net worth of โน4.2 crore, which includes his wealth of โน1.73 crore.

According to his affidavit, Dikshit owns โน1.04 crore in movable assets, including โน5,000 in cash. His wife holds movable assets worth โน2.41 crore.
The couple also has significant immovable assets, with Dikshit declaring โน5.14 crore and his wife owning โน2.53 crore. The Congress leader listed liabilities amounting to โน75.57 lakh.

In terms of income, Dikshit earned โน16.33 lakh during the financial year 2023-24, while his wifeโs income stood at โน7.34 lakh for the same period.
Sandeep Dikshit is set for a strong fight against Kejriwal, who has served as the Chief Minister of Delhi three times, and BJP candidate Parvesh Verma, son of former Delhi Chief Minister Sahib Singh Verma.
Verma also submitted his nomination on Wednesday, January 15. In his election affidavit, Verma declared his familyโs total assets worth โน114 crore. Vermaโs net worth stands at โน89 crore, while his wife, Swati Singh, has a net worth of โน24.4 crore.
Kejriwal, on the other hand, who has been accused by the BJP of overspending on the Flag Staff residence and turning it into a โSheesh Mahal,โ declared movable assets worth โน3.4 lakhs, including โน2.96 lakhs in bank savings.
His wife, Sunita Kejriwal, has movable assets valued at โน1 crore. Kejriwalโs immovable assets total โน1.7 crore, while his wifeโs immovable assets are valued at โน1.5 crore.
Delhi is set to vote on February 5, with the results scheduled to be announced on February 8.
