NEW DELHI: Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan recently had an emotional reunion with Bhajan Singh Rana, the auto-rickshaw driver who came to his aid during a life-threatening incident on January 16, 2025. Saif was the victim of a knife attack near his home in Bandra, Mumbai, and, in urgent need of medical attention, flagged down Rana’s auto-rickshaw. The driver swiftly rushed Saif to Lilavati Hospital, ensuring he received timely treatment.

Six days later, Saif met Rana again at the hospital before being discharged. In a heartfelt gesture, he embraced Rana, expressing deep gratitude for the driver’s quick and selfless actions. The meeting was brief but filled with emotion, highlighting the life-saving role the driver played during the critical moment.

Reflecting on the incident, Saif credited his mother, veteran actress Sharmila Tagore, for instilling values of humility and compassion in him. These principles, Saif noted, shaped his ability to connect with people from all walks of life, even in moments of crisis.

Meanwhile, Saif also recently addressed rumors surrounding his ancestral Pataudi Palace. He clarified that, despite the palace being associated with his family legacy, he did not inherit it. Instead, Saif repurchased the palace using his own hard-earned money.
