NEW DELHI: The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) has expressed grave concern over the recent spate of violence targeting Hindu, Buddhist, and other minority communities in Bangladesh during the ongoing political unrest.

In a statement released today, the RSS condemned the atrocities, which include targeted killings, looting, arson, and heinous crimes against women, as well as attacks on Hindu temples.

The incidents have occurred in the backdrop of a movement for regime change in Bangladesh, leading to widespread violence against religious minorities.

The RSS, a prominent Hindu nationalist organization, labeled these actions as “intolerable” and strongly condemned the cruelty inflicted upon these communities.

The statement, delivered by Sarkaryavah (General Secretary) of the RSS, called on the interim government of Bangladesh to take immediate and decisive action to halt the violence.

The RSS urged the Bangladeshi authorities to ensure the safety, property, and dignity of the affected communities, emphasizing the need for swift measures to protect those at risk.

In addition to its appeal to the Bangladeshi government, the RSS called on the international community and all political parties in India to stand in solidarity with the persecuted minorities in Bangladesh during this critical time.

The organization highlighted the importance of global awareness and support in addressing the ongoing crisis.

The RSS also commended the Indian government for its efforts to assist in the situation and urged it to continue playing an active role in ensuring the safety and security of Hindus, Buddhists, and other minority groups in Bangladesh.

The statement underscored the shared cultural and historical ties between India and Bangladesh and stressed the need for a collaborative approach to resolving the issue.

As tensions continue to rise in Bangladesh, the RSS’s statement reflects the growing concern within India about the safety of minority communities in the neighbouring country.

The organization’s call for action is a significant indication of the broader implications of the violence, not only for the region but for international relations as well.
