New Delhi: In the aftermath of the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) resounding victory in the Delhi Legislative Assembly elections, newly appointed Chief Minister Rekha Gupta paid a courtesy visit to BJP National Vice President and Member of Parliament for Kendrapara, Baijayant Jay Panda, at his residence in New Delhi.
The BJP’s triumph in the recent elections marked a significant milestone, as the party secured 48 out of 70 seats, returning to power in Delhi after a 27-year hiatus. This victory unseated the incumbent Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), which managed to secure 22 seats.

Baijayant Jay Panda, who was appointed as the BJP’s Delhi election in-charge in October 2024, played a pivotal role in orchestrating the party’s successful campaign. During their meeting, Chief Minister Gupta expressed her gratitude for Panda’s unwavering support and strategic guidance throughout the election process. In response, Panda congratulated Gupta on her historic ascent to the Chief Minister’s office and reaffirmed his commitment to supporting the party’s vision for Delhi’s development.
