NEW DELHI: Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta and her cabinet ministers will meet officials from the Public Works Department (PWD) and the Delhi Jal Board (DJB) today to review road maintenance and water supply issues in the city.
Rekha Gupta outlined key issues to be discussed in upcoming cabinet meetings. Speaking to the media, she said, โIn the cabinet meeting yesterday, we approved the Ayushman Bharat scheme, which was blocked by the AAP. The scheme will soon be in the public domainโฆ Today, we have called the PWD and Jal Board officials for a meeting with the cabinet. We will take over the issue of potholes.โ

Gupta has prioritized fixing Delhiโs deteriorating roads, particularly potholes, which have become a major concern for commuters. The PWD will present a detailed plan outlining repairs and long-term maintenance strategies.
The government will also address the capitalโs water supply challenges.
Since taking charge, the new administration has moved quickly on key issues. In its first cabinet meeting, Guptaโs government approved the implementation of the Ayushman Bharat health insurance scheme, which the previous administration had stalled. This decision aims to provide affordable healthcare to Delhi residents.
