In a shameful act, a man raped his nine-year-old daughter, leaving her private parts severely injured in Alwar district of Rajasthan around a week ago. Her family tried to hide the crime for five days, as per the police.

Bhim Singh, the father is yet to be arrested. The incident took place on Saturday, October 16.

A case has been registered at Behror police station under Section 376 (rape) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and relevant sections of the POCSO (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences) Act.

As per police officials, the family took the minor girl to a private doctor who stitched injuries in her private parts. The family kept the matter under wraps for five days.

However, locals in Gadoj village got wind of the crime and informed the child helpline through its toll-free number. Police officials and the district child line team visited the crime spot and registered a case.

Deputy superintendent of police (DSP) Anand Rao has been tasked with investigating the matter.

“The survivor’s medical examination was conducted based on a complaint registered by the child helpline team. The police are interrogating her father,” informed Virendra Pal Vishnoi, an officer at the Behror police station.

The survivor girl is a student of class 4th and has two younger brothers. Her father works as a labourer.

In another such incident, eight people were booked in Alwar district for allegedly gangraping a 16-year-old girl and threatening to circulate the videos of the act on social media if their demand for money was not fulfilled. The crime took place in Kishangarh Bas police station area earlier this month. The girl was a student of Class 8th.
