Bapu Ji’s life teaches us that no matter how tough the challenge, truth always triumphs.” The Rajya Sabha MP stated that after being suspended from the Parliament on August 11, he had to take to “knocking on the doors of the Supreme Court” to revoke his suspension.
After the cancellation of his suspension from the Parliament, the Rajya Sabha MP issued a statement.
He mentioned, “Today, my suspension has been quashed by bringing a motion in the parliament.
Approximately for 115 days I have been suspended, during this period I couldn’t voice your issues in the parliament.”
He added that he was thankful to the SC and the Rajya Sabha chairman, Jagdeep Dhankhar, for reinstating him as an MP.
Chadha said, “For these 115 days, I couldn’t ask your questions from the government and was unable to raise my voice for your rights.
The answers you’re seeking from the government I couldn’t get back to you due to my suspension. I’m glad that after 115 days my suspension has been revoked. I’m thankful to the Supreme Court and Rajya Sabha chairman.”
Upon appearing at the first Rajya Sabha winter session, Chadha recounted the number of “calls, texts and meetings” which gave him the strength to fight against the harsh situation that he had found himself in.
He said, “ Many of you gave me immense courage and strength to fight against them by calls, texts and meetings. I’m wholeheartedly grateful for your blessings and prayers. I would like to appeal, Pray that our courage remains intact; this lamp is heavy on many storms.”
