PVR INOX celebrates India’s Asiad win with Rs 107 movie tickets

NEW DELHI: PVR INOX, the largest film exhibition company in India, has surprised movie and sports lovers by slashing down movie tickets to just Rs 107 on November 3 with an aim to celebrate Team India’s historic achievement of 107 medals with cinema fans across the country at the 19th Asian Games held recently.

Cinephiles can look forward to seeing a number of entertaining films on this day, including the new releases ‘Aankh Micholi,’ ‘Hukus Bukus,’ and ‘The Marsh King’s Daughter,’ as well as ‘Tejas,’ ‘Killers Of The Flower Moon,’ ‘Sajini Shinde Ka Viral Video,’ and ’12th Fail’.

The Indian contingent in the Asian Games, held at Hangzhou in China, took India to a remarkable feat. One of the main highlights of the events was when Olympic and world javelin champion Neeraj Chopra successfully defended his Asiad title with a huge throw of 88.88 metres. Out of all the disciplines, athletics won the most medals—29.

The World No. 3 pairing of Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty clinched India’s first-ever gold with a straight-game win in the men’s doubles final. Many such applaudable performances got the nation a total of 28 gold, 38 silver, and 41 bronze medals.

As a gesture of gratitude, the entire Asian Games contingent will also be invited to enjoy movies with their families at any PVR INOX cinema of their choice. The company is also rewarding the Asian Games medal-winning athletes by giving them a free movie experience for a full month starting November 3.

PT Usha, President of the Indian Olympic Association, expressing gratitude towards the group for their initiative to celebrate the historic event, said in a statement, “Sports and movies have a common audience, and therefore we thank the INOX Group for coming up with such a unique and popular idea to celebrate the massive achievement of our athletes.

“It is indeed a moment to cherish, and there cannot be a better way to make more and more Indians a part of this celebration than to offer them a chance to enjoy a movie at such heavily discounted price. We would also like to thank INOX Group for offering a month-long unlimited access to the medal winners and inviting the entire contingent to watch a movie of their choice at any PVR INOX cinema in the country.”

However, Taylor Swift – The Eras Tour concert screening tickets are not part of this offer and will be available at regular price. Moreover, certain states may have different ticket prices because of local taxes and pricing restrictions. This celebratory offer will only apply to mainstream seats while recliners and premium category formats will not be included.
