SRINAGAR, 22 June : A heartwarming video of a young Punjabi girl exclaiming, “Papa, this isn’t Kashmir; it’s heaven!” has captured the attention of social media users worldwide. The endearing tourist, Pihu, showcases both charm and wit, with expressions and demeanor that belie her tender age.
Pihu, from Jalandhar, Punjab, recounts asking her father, who filmed the video, to take her to a cooler place to escape the soaring temperatures at home. This request led to their trip to the picturesque valley.
“I told my father to take us somewhere cooler. The weather in Jalandhar is too hot; do we have to suffer in this heat? So, Papa said Kashmir is a cooler place with mixed weather—sometimes warm, sometimes cold,” Pihu explains with heart-melting, adorable gestures.
When her father asked if she was enjoying the trip, Pihu responded enthusiastically, “Haan ji, bahut zyada (yes, very much).” “Papa, this isn’t Kashmir; it’s heaven!” she declares in the video, filmed while the family enjoyed a boat ride on the famous Dal Lake.
On her first trip to the valley, Pihu has fallen in love with the place, and the internet has fallen in love with her. “I love Kashmir. I have come to Kashmir for the first time. Have you also been to Kashmir? Tell us in the comments,” she says.
The video has gone viral on social media, garnering thousands of views. Many people have also suggested that she should be made the brand ambassador of Kashmir Tourism.
