President Kovind Accepts Credentials From Russian, Canadian, 3 Other Envoys

Denis Evgenyevich Alipov, Ambassador of the Russian Federation presented his credentials to President Kovind on Wednesday.

 

NEW DELHI: President Ram Nath Kovind accepted credentials from the Ambassadors/High Commissioners of Russia, Canada, Indonesia, Algeria, and Malawi at the Rashtrapati Bhavan here on Wednesday.

President Kovind interacted in a one-to-one format with Denis Evgenyevich Alipov, Ambassador of Russia, Cameron Dean MacKay, High Commissioner of Canada, Ina Hagniningtyas Krisnamurthi, Ambassador of Indonesia, Abderrahmane Benguerrah, Ambassador of Algeria, Leonard Senza Mengezi, High Commissioner of Malawi.

Russia Ambassador Denis Evgenyevich Alipov is an expert on India and belongs to a family of diplomats. He has succeeded Ambassador Nikolai Kudashev was in-charge of the Russian embassy in New Delhi when President Vladimir Putin visited India in December last year.

President Kovind wished each of the envoys success in strengthening bilateral relations and conveyed his regards to the leaders of each state.

“He congratulated them on their appointments and emphasized on the warm and friendly relations that India shared with the countries and the multifaceted relationship that India enjoyed with each of them,” the Rashtrapati Bhavan said.
