Premiere of ‘All I Want for Christmas’ at Embassy of Finland; now available on Travelxp’s digital platform

NEW DELHI: All I Want for Christmas, a heartfelt travel documentary produced by Travelxp, premiered globally on Dec 17, at the Embassy of Finland. Organized in collaboration with the embassies of Finland, Ukraine, Norway, SIFFCY, and the Smile Foundation, the event celebrated the magic of Christmas while delivering a poignant message of hope and resilience.

The 42-minute documentary, directed by national award-winning filmmaker Kamakhya Narayan Singh, tells the moving story of Anastasia, a young Ukrainian refugee, and her mother, Ksenia, as they navigate the challenges of displacement.

In a bid to restore joy to their lives, Ksenia plans a trip to Lapland, Finland’s enchanting winter wonderland. Their journey includes dog sledding through pristine snow-covered landscapes and swimming in the icy waters of Kemi, transforming the holiday into a testament to human resilience and the enduring power of hope.

‘All I Want for Christmas’ is now available on Travelxp’s digital platform, offering viewers a heartwarming story of courage, love, and the universal desire for a brighter tomorrow.

The premiere brought together an audience of diplomats, journalists, and changemakers who were visibly moved by the film.

Speaking after the screening, Dr. Oleksandr Polishchuk, Ambassador of Ukraine to India, said, “We are deeply grateful to the filmmakers and Travelxp for bringing this powerful story to life.

The film highlights the profound impact of conflict, especially on children, who deserve peace, safety, and a loving home.

Ukraine remains committed to the Bring Kids Back UA initiative, ensuring Ukrainian children can celebrate Christmas in a peaceful Ukraine filled with joy and warmth.”

Kimmo Lähdevirta, Ambassador of Finland to India, emphasized the documentary’s universal message. “All I Want for Christmas reflects the resilience, hopes, and dreams of Ukrainian refugees. It is a reminder of the power of solidarity, compassion, and the shared belief in a brighter future for all,” he remarked.

May-Elin Stener, Ambassador of Norway to India, added, “Anastasia and Ksenia’s journey is an inspiration. Norway continues to stand by Ukraine, hosting over 85,000 refugees and fostering hope for a future of peace and joy for all.”

Nisha Chothani, producer of the film and co-founder of Travelxp, shared her vision for the project. “This documentary marks an evolution in travel storytelling at Travelxp. Beyond showcasing destinations, we aim to highlight human stories that foster deeper connections.”

The premiere was a resounding success, with attendees praising the film’s emotional depth and timely message.
