Political leaders from INDIA Alliance attend Ambani wedding

NEW DELHI: The grand wedding of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai on Friday, July 12, turned into an unexpected political convergence. The celebration witnessed a surprising mix of politicians from the INDI Alliance, some of whom have been known critics of the Ambani family.

Among the first political figures to arrive were Shiv Sena-UBT chief Uddhav Thackeray and his son Aaditya Thackeray, who were seen mingling with other attendees. Joining them was NCP-SP leader Supriya Sule, adding to the political prominence of the event. Shiv Sena UBT leader Priyanka Chaturvedi also marked her presence, contributing to the party’s strong representation.

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee made a striking entrance, known for her unique charm and distinct political stance. Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav attended with his wife, MP Dimple Yadav, and their two children, showcasing a family-oriented presence. RJD leader Lalu Prasad Yadav also arrived with his family, further underscoring the political diversity at the wedding.

Other notable attendees included Salman Khurshid and his family, Ramdas Athawale, Praful Patel, Maharashtra’s Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar and his family, and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin. Congress leaders Sachin Pilot and Digvijaya Singh were also spotted, adding to the star-studded political guest list.

 

 

Despite her recent electoral loss in Amethi, Smriti Irani attended the wedding with grace, accompanied by her husband Zubin Irani. The couple’s presence was noted and appreciated by many, given the political landscape.

The wedding of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant not only showcased a blend of tradition and modernity but also highlighted an unusual political gathering, bringing together leaders across party lines in a festive spirit.
