CHANDIGARH: Soon after former chief minister of Punjab Capt Amarinder Singh inaugurated his new political party office on Tuesday, he met Punjab BJP election in-charge Gajendra Shekhawat at his farm house in Mohali. The closed door meeting continued for more than half an hour.
According to the sources, Capt Amarinder and Shekhawat talked about sharing of seats for the upcoming Punjab assembly elections scheduled for early next year.
With this meeting, political activity has intensified in Punjab. BJP is focused on expanding its family and Capt Amarinder Singh, who tendered his resignation from the post of chief minister citing humiliation, inaugurated the office of his new party, Punjab Lok Congress.

Capt Amarinder Singh has made it clear that he is already in touch with BJP top leaders as well as Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa of United Akali Dal on seat sharing in Punjab assembly elections.
Punjab BJP also held a meeting to discuss its strategy for the upcoming elections under the leadership of their election in-charge Gajendra Shekhawat. Punjab BJP President Ashwini Sharma, Dushyant Gautam and new joinee Manjinder Singh Sirsa, who recently quit SAD to join BJP, were present in this meeting. After the meeting, Shekhawat met Capt Amarinder at his farmhouse where they both had lunch.
