NEW DELHI: The 18th All India Police Shooting Championship 2025 concluded in a grand ceremony at Reoti Ranges, Indore. The six-day championship, hosted by CSWT, Border Security Force (BSF), was held from March 24-29.

 

This prestigious event brought together top shooters from Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), State, and Union Territory Police Forces across India. After intense competition, BSF emerged as the Overall Champions in the Womenโ€™s Category, while CISF claimed the Overall Menโ€™s Championship.

 

BSF & CISF Dominate the Championship

 

Madhya Pradesh Governor Shri Mangubhai C. Patel graced the closing ceremony as the Chief Guest. He officially declared the championship closed after a spectacular event that highlighted discipline, skill, and sportsmanship.

IG Alok Kumar Singh, CSWT BSF, welcomed the Governor with a BSF-insignia embroidered OG hat and a Guard of Honour. Special Director Sapna Tiwari (Intelligence Bureau), DIG Rajan Sud, DIG V. T. Kayarkar, and Commandant Tirtha Acharya were also present at the event.

 

During his speech, IG BSF Alok Kumar Singh thanked the Governor for his presence, emphasizing that it boosted the morale of all participants. In response, Shri Mangubhai Patel congratulated the teams for their dedication and outstanding performances.

 

Thrilling Displays at the Closing Ceremony

 

The closing ceremony featured a march past by contingents of CAPFs and various State Police forces, accompanied by BSF and Police brass bands playing rhythmic tunes.

 

A breathtaking weapon musketry drill by the BSF Border Lions Drill Squad (BOLDs), comprising both male and female personnel, was a major highlight. Another thrilling segment was the canine demonstration by NTCD Tekanpur dogs, showcasing their agility and skills in security operations.

The competition featured nine prestigious trophies. The key winners were:

This championship was held after a gap of five years, making it a significant comeback event. The primary aim was to identify new shooting talent and prepare them for national and international competitions.

A Grand Farewell

 

As part of the closing celebrations, a Badakhana community feast was organized at Reoti Ranges, bringing together police personnel in a spirit of camaraderie. The event concluded with a musical performance by the BSF Eagle Brass Band, which entertained the audience with a mix of classic and contemporary tunes.

 

The Police Shooting Championship 2025 successfully showcased the excellence, precision, and competitive spirit of Indiaโ€™s police forces, reinforcing their commitment to discipline and skill development.
