Police Cover, Free Travel; Rajasthan Gears Up For REET

Rajasthan government has made elaborate arrangements for the successful conduct of the Rajasthan Eligibility Examination for Teachers

JAIPUR: State government is all set to organize the Rajasthan Eligibility Examination for Teachers (REET) and fare for the transportation in roadways buses and city low floor buses including metro rail, has been exempted for REET candidates.

Rajasthan police is also securing buildings where the question paper is kept to prevent any form of leak.

Jaipur IG Hawa Singh Ghumaria informed that the appropriate police force is posted at the railway station, bus stand and other public places to prevent any form of nuisance on the day of examination.

“The exam centres will also be secured properly not just by the police force but also the reserve police force is posted on these centres. The Superintendent of Police and Collectors of every district have prepared for the security on the day of the examination just like we prepare for the elections. We have not found any information regarding any problem that may arise on that day but if someone gets any information on this, please inform the administration,” said Ghumariya.

REET examination will be held on July 23 and 24, and the Director of Local Bodies has already issued orders that low-floor bus services in Jaipur, Kota, Ajmer, Pushkar, Udaipur and Jodhpur will provide transport facilities to the candidates free of cost.

The candidates can avail of this facility in the above-mentioned cities within the geographical limit of these bus service functions till July 26.

Jaipur Metro Rail Transport department has announced that the services will be free of cost in the city from July 22 to 25.

Similarly, Rajasthan Roadways has made the travel for the candidates free of cost until July 26. The candidates need to show their admit cards to the bus drivers and metro rail employees to avail this benefit. The concession will be given just to the candidates, not to their family members.

The benefit can be availed for connecting buses as well.

Following COVID guidelines are important for the candidates.

To facilitate a large number of candidates in Jaipur city, four temporary bus stops have been formed in the city. These bus stops will be at Narayan Vihar, Ajmer Road, B-2 bypass, Vidhyadhar Nagar stadium and Transport Nagar. Officials were specially appointed for this duty.

On July 23, the REET examination for Level-1 will be held at the district headquarters of the state. Till now 17 lakh candidates have registered for this examination.
