Ujjain city is all decked up for the inauguration of the ‘Mahakal Lok’ corridor by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, with religious flags and banners welcoming the top BJP leader lining up the roads leading to the Mahakaleshwar temple.

PM Narendra Modi will fly to the city from Gujarat’s Ahmedabad to inaugurate the first phase of the Rs 856 crores Mahakaleshwar Temple corridor development project.

According to the tentative schedule, the Prime Minister will reach Ujjain at 5:30 PM on Tuesday. He will first land at the Indore Airport and then will fly by helicopter to Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh.

A large ‘shivaling’ covered in strands of ‘moli’ (sacred) threads has been placed below the grand gateway — Nandi Dwar — of the ‘Mahakal Lok’. PM Modi will officially unveil the ‘shivaling’ to symbolically mark the opening of the mega corridor.
