In a post on X, PM Modi stated, โ€œMet President Mahmoud Abbas in New York. Reiterated Indiaโ€™s support for the early restoration of peace and stability in the region.โ€ He also highlighted the importance of strengthening the long-standing friendship between India and Palestine.

According to official sources, During the meeting, PM Modi expressed serious concern about the deteriorating security conditions in Gaza and the escalating humanitarian crisis.

He further reiterated Indiaโ€™s commitment to providing ongoing humanitarian assistance to the Palestinian people.

The Prime Minister also underscored Indiaโ€™s long-held position on the Israel-Palestine issue, advocating for a ceasefire, the release of hostages, and a return to dialogue and diplomacy.
