NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired a high-level meeting on Thursday to address the security situation in Jammu & Kashmir (J&K) following a series of recent terror-related incidents. National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval and other senior officials attended the meeting, providing a comprehensive overview of the current security landscape in the region.
According to Government of India (GoI) sources, Prime Minister Modi was briefed on ongoing counter-terrorism efforts. He received updates on the strategies and operations being executed to curb terrorist activities and ensure the region’s safety.

During the meeting, PM Modi emphasized the importance of deploying the full spectrum of India’s counter-terror capabilities. He directed officials to utilize all available resources and strategies to combat terrorism, underlining the necessity for a robust and coordinated response to any potential threats.

In addition to the review meeting, PM Modi spoke with Home Minister Amit Shah to discuss the deployment of security forces and the ongoing counter-terror operations.
He also conferred with Jammu & Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha to assess the situation and was briefed on the efforts being undertaken by the local administration.
