Hours later, Delhiโ€™s newly appointed Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, along with her cabinet, Delhi BJP chief Virendra Sachdeva, and BJP election in-charge Baijayant Panda, visited Vasudev Ghat. They performed an โ€˜Aartiโ€™ before launching a Yamuna cleanup drive, marking the beginning of their commitment to restoring the river.

 

PM Modiโ€™s Meeting with NDA CMs

 

PM Modi invited all NDA state Chief Ministers to the Imperial Hotel in Delhi, where they discussed policy coordination, governance, and upcoming electoral strategies. 

 

Union Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP National President JP Nadda, and Chief Ministers from BJP and allied parties, including Haryanaโ€™s Nayab Singh Saini, Madhya Pradeshโ€™s Mohan Yadav, Rajasthanโ€™s Bhajanlal Sharma, Maharashtraโ€™s Devendra Fadnavis, and Andhra Pradeshโ€™s N. Chandrababu Naidu attended the meeting. 

 

However, Bihar CM Nitish Kumar remained absent.

 

 

โ€œHad a great interaction with NDA allies earlier this afternoon,โ€ PM Modi said in a post on X on Thursday.

Sources revealed that the leaders deliberated on key issues affecting NDA-ruled states, including infrastructure development, welfare schemes, and election strategies. Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini extended congratulations to Delhiโ€™s new Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, expressing confidence in her leadership.

Rekha Guptaโ€™s First Move as CM: Yamuna Cleanup

 

After the high-profile NDA meeting, CM Rekha Gupta convened her first cabinet session. Later, she, along with BJP election in-charge Baijayant Panda and her ministers, visited Vasudev Ghat to perform โ€˜Yamuna Aartiโ€™ before launching a river cleanup drive.

 

 

โ€œWe want to make Maa Yamuna clean and free-flowing. This marks the beginning of the BJPโ€™s commitment,โ€ said Delhi BJP chief Virendra Sachdeva.
