NEW DELHI: A leading player in drone technology, PDRL, is set to empower Indian agriculture with its flagship product AeroGCS software. The AeroGCS Enterprise will cover 3 crore acres of agricultural land across India. This massive initiative is expected to positively impact the lives of over 1 crore farmers, boosting their productivity by 20% and significantly supporting the growth of the agricultural sector. The initiative, spearheaded by the Indian Farmers Fertiliser Cooperative (IFFCO), features extensive use of drone technology for spraying Nano DAP (liquid) and Nano Urea Plus (liquid) fertilizers. IFFCO’s campaign includes 1270 demonstrations of Nano DAP across 413 districts and 200 trials of Nano Urea Plus in 100 districts. The innovative Nano Urea, developed by IFFCO, provides a sustainable alternative for nitrogen supply, promoting smart agriculture and addressing climate change impacts. The initiative involves spraying 245 lakh acres with drones, aimed at enhancing the productivity of approximately 500 lakh acres of farmland. PDRL’s AeroGCS Enterprise is integral to this endeavor. The Made in India drone ground control station software, along with AeroGCS GREEN, is set to oversee the spraying of around 3 crore acres.
