NEW DELHI: Lucknow resident Sagar Sharma, who was recently arrested for a security breach in the Lok Sabha, left behind a diary providing a glimpse into his revolutionary fervour. The diary, which he started writing in 2015, details patriotic poems, revolutionary thoughts, and his disenchantment with the status quo.

Family sources confirmed that Sagar initiated diary entries after completing his senior secondary education and resumed writing in January 2021 after returning from Bengaluru, where he was allegedly in contact with like-minded youth.

 

 

Among the entries, a 2015 note referred to a letter to Bhagat Singh, addressing him as โ€˜My Lord and My God.โ€™ The diary alludes to Sagarโ€™s dedication to the nation and his resolve to contribute to the freedom struggle.

 

Sagar Sharmaโ€™s family, acknowledging the diaryโ€™s existence, has offered it to the police to assist in the investigation of the Lok Sabha security breach. The breach involved Sagar scaling benches, approaching the speakerโ€™s table, and releasing yellow smoke.
