Bharatiya Janata Party is all set to kick start mass outreach program as PM Modi led government is set to complete nine years
NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government is all set to complete its nine years at the centre on May 30.
The party is all set to kickstart its campaign for a hattrick of Lok Sabha wins as it plans a massive outreach programme. The move is important as the party is looking to beat any anti-incumbency factor ahead of the 2024 general election.
The decision is also significant as it comes following the party’s disappointing loss in the Karnataka election. Surely, the loss has come as a jolt for the BJP’s central aspirations, as it is leaving no stone unturned to prolong its rule.
“The party has decided to start a mass outreach program throughout the country on the day it will complete nine years of governance at the centre,” a source in the party told The New Indian. “The party will also kickstart its Sampark Se Samarthan program soon,” the source said on the sidelines of a program organised by the party where Union ministers were also present.
While the BJP-led government always prides itself on the development work it has done on various fronts, the source also said that development will once again be the key point to showcase the party’s achievements in the past nine years.
The party is going to highlight its flagship schemes such as Swachh Bharat Mission, Jan Dhan Yojana, Ujjwala Yojana, Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana, Make In India, Digital India and Skill India that established the party as pro-poor and pro-farmer, the source said.
“The party also plans to highlight its pro-women schemes like Ujjwala Yojana, Sakhi among others. These are the programs that have helped us garner massive support among women constituents,” the source said.
“There has been holistic development and inclusive growth. Nine years of hard work,” the source said while speaking on the development work done by the PM Modi-led BJP government in the centre.
