NEW DELHI: Nick Jonas, the singer and actor, has stirred up a storm after endorsing Tesla founder Elon Musk on X (formerly Twitter), leading fans to question the Jonas Brothers’ political views. The exchange began when Musk shared a popular Jonas Brothers meme to celebrate Tesla’s growth.

The conversation kicked off when an X user posted an article titled “Elon Musk and the Decline of Tesla,” noting concerns about Musk’s leadership. The user also pointed out that Tesla’s stock had surged 100% since Donald Trump’s 2016 win. Musk reposted this, adding a meme from the Jonas Brothers, where Nick and Kevin Jonas turn a table as Joe says, “Oh, how the tables have turned,” with Musk captioning it, “My, how the tables have turned!”

Nick responded by reposting the meme with another image of Musk smirking and pointing. He captioned it, “Take us to the year 3000,” a reference to the band’s hit song.

The playful interaction didn’t sit well with many of Nick’s fans. Some questioned whether the Jonas Brothers had Republican ties, with one tweet reading, “Delete this. Now. This man is horrible.” Others criticized Nick for supporting a controversial figure like Musk, particularly given Musk’s public support for Donald Trump. Fans expressed disappointment, with some even mentioning past personal struggles with diabetes and criticizing Musk’s controversial remarks about women.

However, some of Nick’s supporters defended his post, suggesting it was just a joke and not a political statement. The incident highlights the ongoing scrutiny of celebrity endorsements and political affiliations on social media, with many questioning the impact of such endorsements on fan perceptions.
