NEW DELHI: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Wednesday carried out searches at multiple locations in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama in connection with a terrorism case, officials said.
An NIA official related to the probe told The New Indian, “Searches are being carried out since morning in Pulwama at multiple locations.”
Meanwhile, an NIA source said that the anti-terror probe agency sleuths carried out searches at the premises of four people in different areas of Pulwama.
The source said that the agency carried out searches at the premises of Shirah Ahmed in Parigam area, Ramila, daughter of Nazir Ahmed in Malangpora area of Pulwama, Bashir Ahmed Bhatt in Bandazoo area of Pulwama and Tariq Ahmed Dar in Rajpura area of Pulwama.
However, the senior officials of the NIA remained tight-lipped on the seizures during the searches.
