NIA Conducts Raids in Haryana, UP in Connection with Goldy Brar-Linked Gurugram Grenade Attacks

Summary

The NIA conducted raids across Haryana and Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday in connection with the December 2024 grenade attacks at two Gurugram clubs. Linked to Canada-based terrorist Goldy Brar and US-based gangster Randeep Malik, the case exposes a disturbing terror-gangster nexus under active investigation.

New Delhi: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Tuesday carried out multiple raids across Haryana and Uttar Pradesh in connection with the December 2024 grenade attacks at two clubs in Gurugram. The searches targeted locations linked to Canada-based Babbar Khalsa International (BKI) terrorist Satinderjit Singh, alias Goldy Brar, and US-based gangster Randeep Malik.
The NIA teams swooped down on eight locations in the two states as part of its probe into the case (RC-01/2025/NIA/DLI), recovering electronic devices and other incriminating materials. Officials said the seized items are being examined for further leads into the conspiracy behind the attacks at Warehouse Club and Human Club in Gurugramโ€™s Sector-29.
Investigations revealed that Goldy Brar and Randeep Malik had allegedly threatened and tried to extort money from the club owners before orchestrating the grenade attacks. Notorious gangster Rohit Godara had claimed responsibility for the blasts in a social media post shortly after the incident.
The NIA had registered the case on January 2, 2025, and has since been probing the transnational terror-gangster nexus involved in the attack. Further investigations are underway.
