NIA attaches 3 residential houses in South Kashmir

Srinagar: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Thursday attached three residential houses at Awantipora and Khudwani under the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA).

A senior NIA official informed The New Indian that a double-storeyed residential house and one single-storey residential house under survey Nos 722, 723 & 724 at the village Chursoo, Awantipora, District Pulwama have been attached.

The residential houses, as per the NIA official, are owned jointly by Khursheed Ahmed Bhat aka Khursheed Alam Bhat aka Surya, son of Ghulam Mohd Bhat, resident of Bhatpora, Chursoo, Awantipora District Pulwama and his five brothers.

The properties have been attached under the provisions of UAPA by the order of NIA Special Court Jammu dated 30.09.2023.

 

The NIA official said, “A single-storeyed residential house on land measuring 13 Marlas under survey No. 1603/717 at village Khudwani, Tehsil Qaimoh, District Kulgam, belonging to Fayaz Ahmed Itoo aka Fayaz Khar, son of Abdul Rehman Ittoo, resident of village Khudwani, Quimoh, in District Kulgam has also been attached under the provisions of UAPA by the order of NIA Special Court Jammu dated 30.09.2023.
