NIA Arrests 2 In Umesh Kolhe Murder Case

NEW DELHI: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Wednesday said that it has arrested two persons in connection with the murder of Umesh Kolhe in Maharashtra.

An NIA spokesperson said that the anti-terror probe agency on Tuesday arrested two accused persons identified as Abdul Arbaz and Maulavi Mushfique Ahmed, both residents of Maharashtra’s Amravati in the brutal murder of Kolhe, a resident of Amrawati, Maharashtra.

The Arbaz and Ahmed are criminal associates of Irfan Shaikh, Shoaib Khan, Mudassir Ahmed, Aatif Rashid, Yusuf Khan, Abdul Toufiq and Shahrukh Pathan – who were earlier arrested in the case – and one wanted accused named Shamim Ahmed Firoj Ahmed.

The case was initially registered as FIR on June 22 this year in Amravati and re-registered by NIA on July 2.
