NC-PDP are BJP’s A, B teams: Altaf Bukhari

The New Indian's Principal Correspondent, Emaad Makhdoomi in a conversation with Apni Party President and Former J&K Cabinet Minister, Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari.

SRINAGAR: During an exclusive interview with The New Indian‘s Principal Correspondent, Emaad Makhdoomi, Apni Party President and Former J&K Cabinet Minister, Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari, asserted that Omar Abdullah has been aligned with BJP since 1989, while Mehbooba Mufti has been associated since 2015. Bukhari positioned himself as a newcomer, contrasting with their established roles.

He suggested that if the Apni Party gains power, they might be considered BJP’s “C Team,” given their projected third-place position. Regarding the PAGD, Bukhari criticized NC and PDP for allegedly undermining it to appease BJP’s interests. He accused them of an overt alliance with the BJP, highlighting their parliamentary silence and PDP’s voting patterns.

On Article 370, Bukhari asserted its irreversible revocation, noting that its only substantial benefit was exclusive land and job rights. He credited the Apni Party for securing government jobs for J&K domiciles and reserved land proportions.

Looking ahead, Bukhari pledged the Apni Party’s commitment to advocating for significant projects and serving as diplomatic liaisons with the Central Government, representing Kashmiri aspirations to the Prime Minister and Home Minister.
