Naga Chaitanya, Sobhita Dhulipala announce engagement

NEW DELHI: South Indian film stars Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita Dhulipala have officially announced their engagement. The news was revealed by Chaitanya’s father, actor Nagarjuna, on social media. He posted, “We are excited to announce the engagement of our son, Naga Chaitanya, to Sobhita Dhulipala, which happened this morning at 9:42 am!! We are thrilled to welcome her into our family. Congratulations to the happy couple! Wishing them a lifetime of love and happiness. God bless!”

The engagement ceremony took place at Nagarjuna’s residence in Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad. The announcement comes after weeks of speculation and rumours about the couple’s relationship. Photos from the event show Dhulipala in a peach silk saree adorned with traditional gold jewellery and flowers, while Chaitanya looked elegant in an all-white outfit.

The couple has been spotted together at various events and international trips, fueling rumours of their relationship. Despite these sightings, both actors had not publicly confirmed their relationship until now. It is also speculated that the couple is expected to get married later this year.

Chaitanya was previously married to Samantha Ruth Prabhu. They separated in 2021 after four years of marriage. On the work front, Chaitanya is currently involved in the project “Thandel,” which has been paused due to the engagement. Dhulipala gained prominence through the web series “Made In Heaven” and has worked in several films.

Fans and well-wishers have flooded social media with congratulatory messages.
