Mysterious blast near CRPF School in Delhi’s Rohini

NEW DELHI: On Sunday morning, an unexplained explosion happened next to a CRPF school in the Rohini neighborhood of Prashant Vihar, Delhi.

 

Delhi Fire Services authorities say that no one was hurt in the event. The explosion caused damage to a car, surrounding stores, and the school wall.

 

According to DFS officials, “At 7.50 am, we received a call about a blast near the CRPF school’s outer wall. Two fire engines were hurried to the scene right away. Our car returned because there was no fire and no one was hurt in the explosion.”

The event was promptly attended to by emergency services. To find the source of the loud explosion, police forensic teams, bomb squads, and fire engines raced to the area close to the CRPF school in Sector 14, Rohini. Senior police officers showed up at the site, including those from the Special Cell and the crime section.

 

According to media sources, the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) sources said that the item that caused the explosion first appeared to be a crude bomb, but the specifics will become obvious until complete reports are received. The Delhi Police terror unit’s Special Cell also arrived at the scene.

 

No terror angle has been discovered based on the preliminary inquiry, but the FSL team will provide the final clarification, according to sources.

Police are looking into every aspect of the incident, including the possibility that the explosion was caused by a firecracker. Samples are being taken from the bomb site by the crime unit and forensic team. The probe also includes an examination of CCTV video.

 

At 7:47 a.m., PCR called the police to report the loud explosion. Officers arrived to discover shattered shop and vehicle glasses, a damaged school wall, and an unpleasant stench. The fire department is on the site, and the crime scene has been roped off. An extensive investigation is underway to ascertain the cause of the explosion.

 

“Our criminal unit and forensic team are present to gather samples from the site of the explosion. “We are looking into the whole situation from every angle, but it might be a firecracker,” a senior police officer told news agency PTI.

 

The event has sparked worries about local security and safety. It occurs at a time when bomb threats have been sent to many flights. Due to bomb threats, more than 70 flights have been grounded or diverted in the past six days.
