NEW DELHI: As part of his European tour, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav visited leading companies in Germany, focusing on fostering partnerships in renewable energy and industrial development. In Munich, CM Yadav held key discussions with top executives to explore opportunities for implementing advanced technologies in the state.
A significant highlight was his visit to SFC Energy, a global leader in hydrogen and methanol fuel cell production. Located in Brunnthal near Munich, the company specializes in clean energy solutions, including fuel cells used in power generation and mobility.
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav visited SFC Energy, located near Munich in Brühl, a leading producer of direct methanol and hydrogen fuel cells.
During the visit, SFC Energy’s CEO, Dr. Peter Podesser, delivered an insightful presentation showcasing their core technologies.

Dr. Peter Podesser, CEO of SFC Energy, showcased their cutting-edge technologies and innovations. The discussions focused on introducing these technologies to Madhya Pradesh to meet the growing demand for renewable energy. Collaborations with SFC Energy could position the state as a pioneer in green energy adoption, contributing to its sustainability and energy security goals.
CM Yadav also met representatives from the Baerlocher Group, a German leader in plastic additives. Operating a unit in Dewas, Madhya Pradesh, since 2001, the company has invested over ₹400 crore and generated employment for more than 300 people in the state.
Discussions revolved around expanding Baerlocher’s operations, adopting environmentally friendly technologies, and leveraging innovative practices to further boost the state’s industrial growth. This collaboration underscores Baerlocher’s long-term commitment to Madhya Pradesh’s development.

Beyond industrial engagements, CM Yadav connected with the Indian diaspora at a “Friends of MP” event in Munich. The Chief Minister emphasized the cultural bonds between India and Germany, lauding the achievements of the 200,000-strong Indian community in Germany. He encouraged them to maintain their cultural roots while contributing to Madhya Pradesh’s development.
Through strategic partnerships with companies like SFC Energy and Baerlocher, and a focus on cultural diplomacy, CM Yadav’s visit is expected to enhance Madhya Pradesh’s industrial and economic trajectory while strengthening Indo-German ties.
