Moosewala Murder Case: Police Suspect Sonipat Sharpshooters Behind Killing

Sonipat based sharpshooters Priyvrat Fauji and Anki Sersa are suspected to be involved in Sidhu Moosewala’s murder

NEW DELHI/CHANDIGARH: Even as the autopsy report of Punjabi singer and Congress leader Sidhu Moosewala revealed that he got 19 bullet injury marks leading to his death, the police have now found the role of two Sonipat based sharpshooters behind his killing.

According to Punjab Police sources, during the probe of the Moosewala murder case, it has been found that the two sharpshooters behind his killing hail from Sonipat.

The police source said that both the sharpshooters have been identified as Priyvrat Fauji and Anki Sersa.

The source further revealed that Fauji was behind the killing of the father of gangster Bittu Barona in March 2021. Fauji has also been associated as a sharpshooter for the Ramkaran gang. Fauji faces over a dozen of cases under several sections, including two murder cases.

The source, meanwhile, said that the Sonipat police does not have any criminal record of Sersa, who is the second sharpshooter involved in the murder of the Punjab Congress leader.

The post mortem report of Moosewala has revealed that he received 19 bullet injuries in his body. The report also revealed that Moosewala died due to hemorrhagic shock which is due to antemortem firearm injuries.

The post mortem of Moosewala, who was killed on May 29 in Punjab’s Mansa district, was conducted by a team of five doctors.

In the post mortem report, exclusively accessed by The New Indian, which was conducted on May 30 panel of five doctors concluded that his cause of death was, “Haemorrhagic shock which is due to antemortem firearm injuries described and sufficient to cause death in the ordinary course of nature.”

It further states that Moosewala’s body bore maximum bullet injury marks on his right side.

The report also stated that the bullets had hit his kidneys, liver, lungs, and spine, and he probably died “within 15 minutes” of being wounded.

After the death of Moosewala, a Canada-based gangster Goldy Brar took the responsibility. Brar took to his social media account to claim the responsibility, writing that “he and Bishnoi group was behind the murder”.

“Today, Moosewala was killed in Punjab, I, Sachin Bishnoi, Lawrence Bishnoi take the responsibility. It’s our work. Moosewala’s name surfaced in our brother Vikramjit Singh Middukhera and Gurlal Brar’s murder, but the Punjab Police did not take any action against him. We also came to know that Moosewala was also involved in the encounter of our associate Ankit Bhadu. Moosewala was working against us. Delhi Police had taken his name but Moosewala used his political power and saved his skin each time,” Goldy wrote in his post on Facebook.
