With the dates of elections for the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) announced, political parties are leaving no stone unturned to woo the voters.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is all set to attract voters with music as its leader, and Bhojpuri actor and singer Manoj Tiwari has recorded a campaign song titled BJP ka matlab sewa hai, Delhi ka sewak banaye rakhna.
The audio version of the song was released by Union minister Hardeep Singh Puri on Monday. Tiwari, who represents North East Delhi in Lok Sabha, not only sang the song, he also composed and gave the lyrics.
BJP ka matlab seva hai, Delhi ka sewak banaye rakhna focuses on the work done by the party till now. It also takes a dig at the BJP’s main opposition, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), saying that unlike them, the BJP doesn’t make empty promises.
The song also focuses on testing and the difficult days of Corona. “BJP never left Delhites and even in Corona and made sure that food reaches every home, unlike other parties who escaped from the real ground. BJP made sure that everyone gets the free vaccine,” the lyrics of the song stated.
Showing how the BJP’s vision, PM Narendra Modi’s duty is all about service, the party calls on the people of Delhi to put their trust in it once more.
The song is created along the lines of the BJP’s MCD election campaign slogan Sewa hi vichar, nahi khokhale prachar- MCD mein fir aayegi BJP sarkar (Service is only the thought, No Empty Promises – Once again it will be BJP government in MCD)’.
Polling for MCD will be held on December 4, and the result will be announced on December 7.
