NEW DELHI: The under-construction Lotus Grenadier Banquet Hall in Sector 74, Noida, had a major fire in the early hours of Tuesday, sadly killing an electrician who was trapped inside.

Beginning around 3:30 AM, the fire swiftly expanded throughout the building, consuming the entire structure in flames. Fifteen fire engines and local police arrived at the site as emergency personnel acted quickly. According to reports, the unfortunate victim, an electrician, was sleeping on the first level and was unable to flee as the fire grew more intense.

According to Chief Fire Officer Pradeep Kumar Chaubey, the hall’s wooden construction aided in the fire’s quick spread. According to preliminary investigations, the fire may have been started by a short circuit, and it is hypothesized that the presence of gas cylinders in the kitchen area made matters worse. The precise cause is still being looked at, though.

Damages from the fire are expected to be in the crores, and the banquet hall is in ruins. This event has sparked worries about fire safety in commercial buildings that are still under construction as investigators attempt to pinpoint the exact origin of the fire. The terrible death toll emphasizes the necessity of strict safety regulations and routine examinations to stop future occurrences of this kind.
