NEW DELHI: In a surprising turn of events, boxing legend Mary Kom has stepped down from her role as India’s Chef de Mission for the upcoming Paris Olympics. The announcement was made earlier today, marking a significant development in India’s preparations for the global sporting event.
Mary Kom, a six-time world champion and an Olympic bronze medalist, was appointed to the prestigious position earlier this year. However, citing personal reasons, she has decided to relinquish her duties.
