MUMBAI: Mumbai’s Jio World Convention Centre was abuzz with glitz and glamour as Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant finally got married. A viral video from the wedding caught public attention, showing Ranbir Kapoor being handed a business card by a guest.
The clip, shared on X (formerly Twitter) with the caption, “Somebody gave their business card to Ranbir” depicts the guest shaking hands with Ranbir, whispering something in his ear, and then handing over a card. Ranbir, maintaining his composure, nodded, smiled, and thanked the guest before listening further.
The video sparked various reactions online. One user (@Villa927383041) commented, “Very common at big events. Lots of people there are far wealthier than most of the movie stars.” Another (@deekayboi) joked, “Cut to 2025 when Ranbir Kapoor will feature in a Vimal pan masala ad.”

The event, held on Friday, saw the couple in stunning traditional outfits. Alia donned a pink saree, paired with a maang tika, jhumkas, and a neckpiece, while Ranbir opted for a classic sherwani.
The Ambani wedding was a star-studded affair with notable personalities like Priyanka Chopra, Nick Jonas, Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Rajinikanth, and Deepika Padukone in attendance. The three-day celebration included the Shubh Vivah on July 12, Shubh Aashirwad on July 13, and concluded with a grand reception on July 14.

On the professional front, Ranbir Kapoor was recently seen in ‘Animal,’ receiving acclaim for his portrayal of Ranvijay Singh. He is set to appear in the sequel, ‘Animal Park,’ and is also prepping for Nitesh Tiwari’s ‘Ramayana,’ a cinematic adaptation featuring Sai Pallavi, Yash, Arun Govil, and Lara Dutta.
Alia Bhatt, meanwhile, is gearing up for Vasan Bala’s ‘Jigra,’ scheduled for release on September 27. The film, co-produced by Karan Johar and Alia, tells the tale of a sister’s love and protection for her brother. Alia will also star in a Spy Universe film titled ‘Alpha’ with Sharvari Wagh and Anil Kapoor and will share the screen with Ranbir in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Love & War.’
