Main Accused In Vaishali Thakkar Suicide Case Held In Indore

Rahul Navlani, the main accused in the alleged suicide of noted television actor Vaishali Thakkar, was arrested from a locality near Indore, Madhya Pradesh, the police said on Wednesday.

As per reports, the Indore Police had announced a reward of Rs 5000 for information leading to his arrest. The police had sent three teams to different states to nab him.

Thakkar allegedly died by suicide by hanging herself from a ceiling fan at her residence in Saibag Colony of Indore city on October 16.

In her suicide note, she had accused Navlani of torturing her physically and mentally. She had also reportedly accused Rahul’s wife Disha of supporting him in the crime.

Vaishali made her television debut with the very popular soap opera, ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ where she played the role of Sanjana. Afterwards, she appeared in more than a dozen television serials like ‘Manmohini’, ‘Super Sisters’, ‘Vish Aur Amrit’ and ‘Yeh Vaada Raha’.

Vaishali has also received the Colors’ Golden Petal Award for playing Anjali in Sasural Simar Ka. She also appeared on another popular television show, Bigg Boss.

Thakkar is a native of Mahidpur town in the Ujjain district of Madhya Pradesh. She has been living in Indore for the past three years.
