NEW DELHI: A complaint filed by Delhi-based lawyer Advocate Anant Dehadrai revealed that TMC MP Mahua Moitra asked a total of 39 questions, some of which appeared to either support the Hiranandani group or target Adani.
Among the questions, Moitra asked were inquiries about Dharma Port, Paradip Port, FPI Investment, IOCL, GAIL, ATPL, LNG Supplies, 5G networks, Kolkata Port Trust, Power Data Centre, and others, seemingly aimed at Adani.
She also posed inquiries regarding the business collaboration between India and Bangladesh that could have advantages for Hiranandani. Additionally, one of her questions was associated with vehicular pollution. One of the inquiries revolved around an IT raid conducted on the Hiranandani group.
The lawyer from Delhi contended that Moitra’s inquiries, whether explicit or implicit, seemed to favour Hiranandani’s commercial concerns, including but not limited to LNG, the Yotta company, H Energy, and other related matters.

Here’s A List Of The Questions Asked By Mahua Moitra:
- One of her questions was in connection with the Paradip Port and its Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) that included Adani, Gail, IOC, and H-Energy, a company associated with the Hiranandani group that had a stake as it secured a bid for the Paradip natural gas pipeline.
- She inquired about the service quality of telecom service providers, specifically Yotta, a company under the Hiranandani umbrella, which appointed a former Jio executive shortly after the question was posed.
- Another one of her inquiries centred on the Kolkata Port Trust’s handling capacity, given that the Hiranandani group had signed an MOU with them, signifying their vested interest in the matter.
- She also posed an inquiry regarding checkpoints along the India-Bangladesh border, an area where the Hiranandani group has made substantial investments.
- She then asked about the nation’s preparedness for 5G technology. Yotta, a company within the Hiranandani group, submitted an application for a Global Mobile Personal Communications by Satellite license.
- She further inquired about the specifics of proposed energy codes, which have a direct impact on the construction activities of the Hiranandani group.

- She also inquired about the tenders issued by the Solar Energy Corporation of India, which corresponds with Yotta’s 2020 goal of using renewable energy to power data centres.
