Luv Sinha omits Sonakshi from parents’ anniversary post amid rumors of a rift

NEW DELHI: It seems like there’s been some tension within the Sinha family lately. Luv Sinha recently posted a heartfelt message on Instagram to wish his parents, Shatrughan Sinha and Poonam Sinha, on their wedding anniversary. The post featured a photo of him with his parents and his twin brother Kush Sinha, but notably, Sonakshi Sinha was not included in the picture or mentioned in the caption.

This omission comes amid rumors of a rift between Luv and Sonakshi, particularly highlighted by Luv’s absence at Sonakshi’s recent wedding to Zaheer Iqbal. Luv had previously addressed his absence indirectly on social media, citing reasons related to his reservations about certain people associated with Zaheer Iqbal’s family.

In a post on ‘X’ he wrote, “The reasons are very clear as to why I didn’t attend, and would not associate with some people no matter what. I’m glad a member of the media did their research instead of relying on creative stories being put out by a PR team”.

He posted about Sonakshi’s father-in-law, Iqbal Ratansi, from a Telegraph article which claimed Zaheer Iqbal’s father’s “proximity to a politician whose ED enquiries had vanished in the ‘washing machine.’” Luv had shared an excerpt from the article which read, “With carefully curated news stories about his family business, nobody tread grey areas like the groom’s father’s proximity to a politician whose ED enquiries had vanished in the ‘washing machine’. Nor was there a whiff of the groom’s father’s stint in Dubai….”

However, he later deleted clarifying it was from a news article and not his statement, he wrote, “The quote that is being incorrectly attributed to me is not my statement and was written in an article by a senior journalist . The matter is now closed, and I will not be commenting on it any further.”

Shatrughan Sinha, in an interview, acknowledged the family’s disagreements but emphasized the importance of keeping such matters private and maintaining family unity. Despite the public speculation and media attention, he expressed confidence that their family bonds would remain strong. Talking to a media organisation, he said, “Family matters should stay within the family. Like I said, kaun se parivar mein disagreements nahi hote (Which family does not have disagreements)?”

Sonakshi and Zaheer’s wedding, which took place after a seven-year courtship, garnered attention with its intimate ceremony and subsequent grand reception attended by many Bollywood personalities. Sonakshi herself has not publicly commented on the family dynamics or the speculation surrounding her relationship with Luv.
