Taking to X, the former Delhi Chief Minister shared his experience, stating, “Today, along with my wife, I reached the temple of Mata Vaishno Devi, had a darshan and prayed for the well-being of all the people of the country. May Mata Rani bless everyone.” He also posted pictures from the visit, showcasing the serene atmosphere of the sacred site.

Following his prayers at the Vaishno Devi temple, Kejriwal also visited Baba Bhairon ji’s temple, where he sought further blessings for the prosperity and health of all citizens. In another tweet, he expressed his devotion, highlighting the importance of collective well-being.
Sunita Kejriwal has played a significant role in the AAP, particularly during challenging times. When Arvind Kejriwal was incarcerated in connection with the Excise Policy matter, she took charge of key party operations. She has also been a prominent presence at various AAP rallies, reflecting her commitment to the party’s mission.
Kejriwal’s visit to the shrine comes amid his ongoing efforts to support religious tourism in Delhi. In 2021, while serving as the Delhi Chief Minister, he announced the Mukhyamantri Tirth Yatra Yojana, aimed at facilitating free pilgrimages for senior citizens. The initiative includes a dedicated train service from Delhi to Ayodhya and covers all expenses related to travel, food, and accommodation.

Under this scheme, residents of Delhi aged 60 and above can obtain travel benefits with a certificate from their local MLA. Additionally, each traveler is allowed to bring an attendant aged 21 or older, with the Delhi government covering all costs.
The Mukhyamantri Tirth Yatra Yojana has also extended its services to senior citizens living in old age homes, ensuring that those who may struggle to travel alone can embark on spiritual journeys. The program includes provisions for paramedical staff and attendants to assist travelers during their pilgrimage.
Kejriwal’s recent visit to Vaishno Devi not only underscores his spiritual beliefs but also reflects his commitment to enhancing the pilgrimage experience for Delhi’s senior citizens, fostering a sense of community and faith.
