NEW DELHI: The leading Kashmiri Pandit youth organisation Youth 4 Panun Kashmir (Y4PK) is set to organise a unique and impactful event, “Nishkasan Ka Dard,” on an international scale to commemorate Kashmiri Pandit Holocaust Day which will take place on January 19, 2024, in New Delhi.

President of Y4PK Rahul Kaul declared that the youth organisation will hold a massive public outreach programme on January 19, beginning at 2 pm, in addition to the customary nightlong vigil.

It aims to inform thousands of people about the genocide of Kashmiri Pandits, to communicate the community’s demands, and to make the public aware of the plight of the community that was forced to flee their homeland.

Convenor of Panun Kashmir Dr. Agnishekhar commended the effort and underlined its importance in bringing attention to the genocide against the Pandits of Kashmir. He applauded Youth 4 Panun Kashmir for assuming the mantle of spearheading the fight for justice.

The Jonraja Institute of Genocide & Atrocities Studies’ Director Dr. Dileep Kaul announced that JIMS will showcase true accounts of genocide survivors at the function. There will also be a screening of the much-awaited documentary about Shivyogini Lalleshwari’s (Lal Dyed) life.

Lalleshwari, the mystic Shivyogini, also known as Lal Dyed, lived in Kashmir more than 700 years ago. She voyaged as a spiritual seeker, got enlightened, and merged ultimately into the universal energy – the Shiva tattva.

It is anticipated that participating scholars will be international experts in the field of genocide studies. The programme will feature prominent figures, including academicians, artists, poets, public speakers, and social activists from India and around the world.

The Chief Editor of Epilogue News Network Tito Ganju affirmed the network’s official status as the event’s media partner and offered his full support.

Roots in Kashmir Spokesperson Amit Raina stressed the significance of the occasion as a turning point and urged broad community involvement to guarantee the Government of India’s acknowledgement of justifiable demands.

Y4PK’s Organising Secretary Vithal Chowdhary urged the public to support the initiative and emphasised the need for group efforts to secure the community’s legitimate demands.

The event has garnered support from various organisations, including KMWA (Noida), Kashmiri Hindu Sabha (Pune), Kashmiri Hindu Sabha (Telangana), Roots in Kashmir, Sharika Sewaks, Jonraja Institute of Genocide Studies, Panun Kashmir (REHINGE), and other community organisations.
