The large-scale search operation, aimed at dismantling networks linked to outlawed organizations, covered residential areas, business establishments, and other premises.

 

 

Wide-Ranging Searches in Srinagar & Sopore

 

Law enforcement teams executed multiple search operations in Srinagar and Soporeas part of active investigations under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA).Officials confirmed that the cases under scrutiny pertain to groups such as the Jammu and Kashmir Muslim Conference (Bhat Group), Jammu and Kashmir Muslim League (Masrat Alam Faction), and Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party (Shabir Shah Faction).

 

 

These raids were conducted under several FIRs:

 

Case No. 15/2024 (Sections 10, 13 UAPA; Sections 121, 121A IPC) โ€“ Rajbagh Police Station

Case No. 04/2024 (Sections 10, 13 UAPA) โ€“ Saddar Police Station

Case No. 03/2024 (Sections 10, 13 UAPA) โ€“ Shaheed Gunj Police Station

 

Notably, searches were conducted at the homes of Professor Abdul Gani Bhat in Botingoo, Sopore, and Wazir Bagh, Rajbagh. Authorities also searched the residence of Shabir Ahmad Shah in connection with Case No. 04/2024. Meanwhile, seven different locations across Srinagar were searched under Case No. 03/2024, targeting individuals linked to prohibited activities.

Mohammad Nazir Khan โ€“ Koolipora, Khanyar

Hakeem Abdul Rashid โ€“ Botakadal, Lal Bazar

Javaid Ahmad Munshi (alias Bilpapa) โ€“ Methan, Chanpora

Raids in Anantnag & Bandipora

 

Authorities extended their operation to Anantnag, searching the residences of individuals associated with Tehreek-e-Hurriyat, Muslim Conference, and Jammu & Kashmir Peopleโ€™s League. Raids were conducted in Mattan Chowk, Waghama, Satkipora, Bijbehara, Kadipora, Malaknag, and Zaldoora Dooru.

 

 

Simultaneously, multiple locations in Bandipora were raided in connection with ongoing terror-related investigations linked to Tehreek-e-Hurriyat, J&K Peoples Freedom League, and the Muslim Conference. The searches were tied to:

Farooq Ahmad Mir โ€“ Plan Bandipora

Further searches took place in Onagam and Nathpora, Bandipora.

 

Ongoing Investigation to Disrupt Terror Networks

 

Although no incriminating material was found during these searches, several individuals were questioned as part of the inquiry. Authorities stressed that the objective of the investigation is to systematically dismantle the terror support system in the Union Territory by identifying overground workers (OGWs) and ensuring legal proceedings against those aiding unlawful activities.

 

Law enforcement agencies have reiterated their commitment to maintaining security and taking decisive action against any terror-affiliated networks operating within J&K.
