J&K DGP sanctions scholarships of over Rs 30 lakhs forwards of Police Personnel

JAMMU: The Director General of Police (DGP), J&K, RR Swain, has approved scholarships totalling Rs 29,78,000 for 582 wards of serving police personnel who achieved 80% and above marks in the class 10th exams in (replace of within) the academic year 2022-23. Notably, Rs 6000 each was granted to 325 wards scoring over 90%, and Rs 4000 each to 257 wards with marks above 80%.

Simultaneously, a separate scholarship fund of Rs 3,70,400 was sanctioned for 72 wards of serving Special Police Officers (SPOs) excelling in classes 10th and 12th. This included Rs 6000 each for 19 class 10th wards scoring above 90% marks, Rs 4000 each for 32 wards scoring above 80%, and Rs 7200 each for 2 class 12th wards scoring above 90%, with Rs 6000 each for 19 wards scoring above 80% marks.

Outstanding Achievements in Class 12

Among the distinguished performers in the class 12 examinations, Sarika Thakur, daughter of SPO Pritam Singh No. 688 of DPO Udhampur, etched an impressive academic record securing an outstanding 91.8%, rewarded with a meritorious scholarship. Adnan Sami, son of SPO Anayatullah No. 2554 of DPO Doda, demonstrated exceptional dedication with a commendable 91.6%, also receiving a significant scholarship. Abhishek Balotra, son of L/SPO Rajni Bala of DPO Kathua, showcased remarkable academic prowess, securing an admirable 89.8% and was rewarded accordingly.

Exceptional Performers in Class 10 :

Notable achievements in the class 10 examinations were marked by stellar performances. Nikhil Singh, son of SPO Bharath Singh No. 109 of DPO Reasi, emerged as a shining star securing an outstanding 97.6%, and receiving an appreciable scholarship. Masroof Mushtaq, son of SPO Mushtaq Ahmad No. 72 of GRP Kashmir, exhibited commendable diligence and scored an impressive 97.4%, similarly honoured with a significant scholarship.

Meanwhile, Sargis Choudhary, daughter of SPO Bashir Ahmad No. 180 of GRP Jammu, portrayed exceptional academic brilliance securing a noteworthy 97.2%, also receiving recognition for the achievement.

Notable Achievements in Class 10:

The academic landscape in class 10 witnessed extraordinary achievements. Humaira Jan, daughter of Sg Ct Zahoor Ahmad Wani of IRP 2nd battalion, and Duha Rashid, daughter of HC Abdul Rashid Ganie of CID SB Kashmir, were acknowledged for their outstanding dedication, securing an exceptional 99% and receiving substantial scholarships.

Muntazir Farooq, son of HC Farooq Ahmad of DPO Srinagar, and Minza Lone, daughter of HC (TEL) and Akhter Hussain of Telecom Kashmir achieved praiseworthy scores of 98.8% and were also rewarded with significant scholarships.

Sabreena Mushtaq, daughter of SgCt Mushtaq Ahmad Dar of JKAP 12 Bn, left an indelible mark securing an impressive 98.6%, and received acknowledgement for the outstanding performance.
