JioPhone Next – World’s Most Affordable Smartphone To Be Available for Rs 1,999 From Diwali

LUCKNOW: The much-awaited JioPhone Next will be available in stores from Diwali. The world’s most affordable smartphone, jointly designed by telecom major Reliance and IT giant Google, can be bought with a down payment of Rs 1,999, and the rest can be paid in easy instalments of 18-24 months.

Mukesh D Ambani, Chairman and Managing Director, Reliance Industries heartily congratulated Sundar Pichai and his team at Google and the countrymen for this wonderful Diwali gift. Expressing happiness over the launch of JioNext, he said, “The teams of Google and Jio have been able to bring this device on time for Indians during the festive season. We have been successful despite the challenges of the global supply chain due to the COVID pandemic. I strongly believe in the power of the digital revolution to enrich, enable and empower the lives of 1.35 billion Indians.”

JioPhone Next has been bundled by the company with specially designed plans. In this, the customer can also pay the installments of JioPhone Next along with four different plans. The first plan is ‘Always On Plan’, in which the customer will have to pay Rs 350 for 18 months and Rs 300 for 24 months. The customer will get 5 GB data and 100 minutes of voice calling per month with the plan. The second plan is called ‘The Large Plan’, in which Rs 500 per month will have to be paid for taking 18 months installment and Rs 450 for making 24 months installment. With this plan one avail 1.5 GB data per day as well as unlimited voice calling. The third plan is the ‘XL’ plan, it is a 2 GB per day plan in which Rs 550 for 18 months installment and Rs 500 per month for 24 months installment. And, the ‘XXL’ plan is for those whose internet usage is very high and consumes a lot of data. 2.5 GB data and unlimited voice calling will be available in this plan. In this, an installment of Rs 600 for 18 months and Rs 550 for 24 months will have to be paid.

Some key features of JioPhone Next include: Easy access and consumption of content in a choice of 10 languages; Availability of content in different languages via translation at the tap of a button; Read Aloud and Translate Now feature that will work with any text on the phone screen, including web pages, apps, messages, and even photos; Using App Actions, Utilisation of Google Assistant to deliver a great experience with many of the Jio apps on this device; and latest cricket scores and a weather update.

The camera specifications include: great photos and videos. With a screen display size of 5.45 inches, the new phone holds the promise of clearer photos at night and in low-light situations to HDR; Mode that brings out wider colour and dynamic range in photos. JioPhone Next integrates India-themed highlights; Snapchat Lenses link directly into Camera Go, the phone’s camera app, which creates a more delightful and innovative photo-taking experience for users.

Other than this, the phone comes with improved safety features and there is the option to share files instantly even without the internet, using the ‘Nearby Share’.
