NEW DELHI: Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah has been awarded the prestigious ICC Men’s Test Cricketer of the Year 2024, cementing his place as one of the finest bowlers in modern cricket. The International Cricket Council (ICC) recognized Bumrah’s phenomenal performances throughout the year, during which he consistently delivered match-winning spells and showcased exceptional skill and composure.
Bumrah, who outperformed competitors like England’s Joe Root and Harry Brook for the coveted title, played a pivotal role in India’s success in the longest format of the game. The Indian speedster’s ability to swing the ball both ways, combined with his pinpoint accuracy, made him a nightmare for batsmen worldwide.
